Course Selection Information for 2022-2023 school Year
Course selection for current 9th-11th graders will be completed this month through World Geography (9th graders), World History (10th graders), and English III (11th graders). We will be collecting the choices via a Google Form and then entering them into Schoolinks for the students. The students will receive the link to the Google Form when we meet with their classes (this can only be filled out once per student email address, so we want to be able to walk the students through it.)
Here is the schedule for course selection:

My Brother's Keeper
My Brother’s Keeper is a strategy focused on supporting talented young men of color to achieve post-secondary success.
In Central Texas, Black and Latino young men matriculate to postsecondary programs at half the rate of their upper-income peers and earn college degrees and workforce credentials at a quarter of the rate of their white peers. A key strategy of the Greater Austin Area My Brother’s Keeper Initiative (GAAMBK), MBK Scholars began in 2018-19 with two objectives:
1) significantly improve the rate of young men of color who enroll in and complete a postsecondary degree
2) create or improve upon systems to scale and sustain improvements in postsecondary success for young men of color and other marginalized students
My Brother’s Keeper (MBK) mentoring program is specifically geared towards helping juniors and seniors develop a plan in their efforts to attend post-secondary institutions in addition to vocational and technical schools. This multi-dimensional program also allows students to explore entrepreneurial endeavors and opportunities.

2022 Yearbook Information BIGGER THAN EVER!
Yearbook Information
Please consider purchasing a senior recognition ad. They are for sale at www.balfour.com as well, in the same location as you order a yearbook. Currently, the prices are as follows:
Full $325
Half. $175
Quarter $100
Eighth. $ 60
You will be able to upload your photos and the message. Be sure to include the student's name in the message.
Selling senior recognition ads and business ads allows us to sell the books for lower than the print cost. We are planning a much larger book this year so this is a really good price for the yearbook.
Any questions about yearbooks or for purchasing old yearbooks. Go by room B167 and talk to Mrs. Ballard.
