Uranium

What is Uranium?
Uranium is a non renewable energy source. It is one if the most abundant elements found in earths crust, amazingly it's found everywhere in soil and in rock, in rivers and in oceans! Although concentrated uranium ores are only found in a few places, usally hard rock or sandstone.
People usually don't see uranium energy a lot, that is beacuse uranium is used to make nuclear energy.
How does it work to produce energy?
Four-teen percent of the worlds electricity is generated form uranium in nuclear reactors. Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech republic, Finland France, Hungary, Japan, South Korea, Slovakia, Slovenia Sweden, Switzerland and Ukraine all get 30% or more than their electricity from nuclear reactors. USA has over 100 reactors operating and supplying 20% of electricity. France gets three quarters of its electricity from uranium.
What are uses for this energy?
The two main things that nuclear energy does is drive ships, and generates electricity. So basically if you use electricity the you use uranium (nuclear) energy! Also a long while back people used to have nuclear weapons, but those weapons were extremely harmful, also now-a-days it is frowned upon to have those types of weapons.
Nuclear Power Song: Performed by Environment Man
ADVANTAGES
1) It is the worlds largest source of emission-free energy.
2) Nuclear Power Plants produce no controlled air pollutants like sulfur and particulates or green-house gases.
3) The most Eco-efficient of all energy sources, produces the most energy relative to its environmental impact.
