Cross Country Girls take 1st and Boys take 2nd in first meet!!
A visit from "Hawkeye" at Meet the Blue Hawks
Volleyball in Action on Friday
Opening Up!
What an unbelievable week this has been on "The Hill"!! We had SO MANY firsts going on throughout the week that's it impossible to label any of them as the BEST moment. From our FIRST ever district win with our RHHS Tennis team, to our Cross Country team taking 1st and 2nd place in their first meet, Volleyball and Football scrimmages, FIRST ever performances by our Rockettes and Cheer teams, FIRST time to hear our Alma Mater played by our INCREDIBLE Blue Hawk Band and sung by our fantastic Choir, it was truly a week to remember for all!
I am so proud of all the hard work that went into this week by everyone involved and as Coach Humble said in his Meet the Blue Hawks speech about how we have overcome challenge after challenge....we come together and we fight. That has been our mantra throughout this whole process in that anything we do at Rock Hill, we do it together and we do it exceptionally well EVERY TIME!
Thank you all again for all your support and for joining us through this process to make RHHS a SPECIAL place. As we go through another AMAZING week of more FIRSTS please never hesitate to reach out if you need anything and know that we are here to help make this a GREAT experience for all members of our Rock Nation family!

SPIRIT DAYS and PEP RALLIES!!
Pep rallies will look a little different and I've outlined some key points below. We appreciate your support and understanding to help make this a GREAT experience for our students.
- Visitors will not be allowed to view the pep rallies in person
- We will live stream the event as it happens so parents and community members can watch online
- Only two grades will be allowed to attend in person at a time. Seniors will ALWAYS be able to attend and we will alternate each grade out during each week.
- Pep Rallies will start at approximately 3:15pm

Notes from the Nurse:
Hello Rock Hill Families!
We are off to a great start here at Rock Hill High School! I love seeing our students enjoying being on campus. Their joy is contagious even through the masks! I appreciate how great our students have been at being socially distant and wearing masks. Our students Rock!
Since this is a very different school year than the norm, I want to remind you to please check the online Covid screener daily before coming to school if you are a student, parent of a student for the student or staff member. If you can answer no to all of the questions on the screener- great! We welcome you to come to school.
If you answer yes to any of the daily covid screening questions, we really need you to stay home and to respond to the screener. To respond to the screener, you will then click Rock Hill and report the situation, whether the student or staff member is having any illness/ symptoms, is awaiting covid testing, has been exposed to someone that is covid positive or has been diagnosed with covid. When I receive the alert that there is a response to the screener, I will contact the you about the situation. We can talk through the situation and decide together if our student or staff member can come to school or needs to stay home. (Just because you respond to the screener does not mean you will be restricted for a long period of time).
Parents, it is very important that you keep an ill student home please. This year looks different. If your student has a headache or sore throat for example- please keep them home, answer the screener and let your student do online school for the day until I can talk with you. In years past, kids could still come to school as long as they did not have fever, diarrhea or vomiting. That is not the case this year and we want to make sure you are aware of this change. We have to be more cautious so we can continue to have in person school by keep ill students at home.
When a student becomes ill during the school day, it is important that the student visit the clinic for an evaluation. Parents, if your student texts you that they feel ill, please ask them to visit the clinic. If your student meets the criteria to be sent home, we will contact you and we need a parent to be available to pick up the student within 30-60 minutes please.
This information has been shared by Dr. Ferguson and Mr. Toth. I still wanted to share it again. We need your partnership to keep our students and staff healthy. This is a different kind of school year, but we will work together to not only get through it but to Prosper! While this is a beautiful building and the best of the best, the greatest part of working on this Rock Hill campus is how wonderful our students, families and staff are. We have the best Rock Hill family and let’s help each other stay healthy and able to attend in person school😊
Thank you,

What made you want to come to Rock Hill?
"To be able to participate in such a momentous adventure of opening a brand new high school, I didn't want to miss that opportunity. Once I saw what Mr. Toth was creating and establishing with RHHS students, I knew I wanted to be a part of it. Rock Hill is our (students & teachers) opportunity to create the learning environment that we want, to utilize those CORE values how we want, and I couldn't be happier here because I see what our students envisioned and it's all unfolding before our eyes. I know I made the right choice by coming here because I truly have not been happier!"
What excites you about the upcoming football season?
"My family is already a football loving family, so just hearing that we will have a season gets me pumped up! I love the buzz of the hallways on Thursday & Fridays on game days - there's literally nothing like it! Add the Friday night lights, the cheers of the crowd, all of our Amazing organizations that participate both in the stands and on the sidelines, and it's literally the perfect combination! I am so looking forward to cheering on our Blue Hawks this season!!"

Parent and Guardians,
We are so excited to be a part of the opening of Rock Hill High School and laying the foundation for the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). July started with a great boost with an amazing membership drive. As parents and guardians, we believe that we all have similar goals. We want our children and the students attending Rock Hill to laugh, to be challenged, to be entertained and to feel the support of those around them. PTO is here with the students and teachers in mind. Every decision PTO makes is with the focus of each and every student and teacher. We encourage you to join the PTO and stay connected with all upcoming PTO sponsored events.
Should you have any questions, comments or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to use via email at rockhillhighpto@gmail.com.
