Who is Donald Trump?
Donald Trump is “the very definition of the American success story.” Trump began a campaign for the 2016 Republican nomination for president of the United States.
What does his campaign emphasize on?
His campaign for 2016 presidential election relies on two main issues concern America: illegal immigration and the U.S. trade deficit. He uses the slogan “Make America Great Again” and continues to stress his building of a big wall.
Where did he get his start?
Trump was born in New York City on June 19, 1946. He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania in 1968. Him and his father began building the foundations of a real-estate empire.
Wasn’t he on T.V.?
From 2004 to 2015, Trump hosted the reality television series "The Apprentice," in which he offered prospective young executives a chance to win a position in his company. In 2015, shortly after announcing his bid for presidential election, he left the show. NBC later severed business ties with him.
What has he done in the real-estate industry?
Trump has bought and sold many major buildings, primarily in New York City, New York, including the Plaza Hotel and a share of the Empire State Building. He has built several others, including the 92-story Trump Tower Chicago in Chicago, Illinois.
