Staff Newsletter
Week of Jan. 8 - 12, 2018
Message from the Principal
We will be getting together for our 2nd trimester PD this week. We will sit down to go over a new rotation of staff meetings interspersed with department/team meetings. We will also have some time to look at focusing on particular curricular areas and standards for the remainder of the year.
Remember that Progress Reports are going home on Wed, Jan. 17th. Please give your reports to Amparo by the end of the day on Friday for review since we are off Monday, Jan. 15th. The last couple times, many teachers have been late with reports and report cards, which causes problems in the office with getting them out on time. We need to make sure you meet the deadline so that we have time to review these before they go home.
Have a wonderful week!
Blessings,
Katie Dempsey

A Few Items to Mention in your Newsletters to Parents:
- I will be sending home a school survey (paper) to each family this week. The survey asks families to rate how things are going with their children academically and socially thus far, as well as questions about their involvement in volunteer opportunities and after school social events. I put it together with the Parent Service Committee. It will also help us to learn how many children/families are intending on returning next year. Can you please let your parents know that the surveys will be coming home on Wed in the weekly envelope, so that they can keep an eye out for them? I would love to get a lot of them back to help us with both feedback and planning for next year.
- Please publicize the Crab Feed and Auction. It is coming up on Feb. 10th and is one of our 3 main fundraisers. We use the money to pay for salaries, curriculum, and other main components of our annual budget...so it is very important that it goes well!
