Snapchat:
Snapchat is a commonly used popular app used in the 21st century. It’s a way for kids thirteen and older to communicate and post about whatever they’re doing daily. Snapchat started as an app created by Bobby Murphy and Evan Spiegel as a project for Stanford University. It was created on September 11, 2013, originally named “Picaboo,” which was later changed to “Snapchat.” Snapchat introduced “Snapkidz” for kids under the age of thirteen. Snapchat works with three pages, a home page (the “snap” page), the recents page, and the story page. The home page,or snap page, in the middle, is where you click the button at the bottom of the screen to take a picture of yourself to send to somebody. You can hold down on your face to get filters, such as the dog filter, or the police cop filter. Or you can swipe left or right to get regular filters such as the time, temperature, B&W, etc. After you’ve taken your picture, you can tap on the screen to start typing a message. You can also draw, or add emojis to the picture with the icons at the top of the screen. Then just click the blue arrow at the bottom to send the picture to somebody or post to your story. On the story page, on the right side, a list of your Snapchat friends appears on the screen. When you tap on the person’s name, you can see everything they’ve posted to their story and everything that you’ve posted to your story. On the Recents page, on the left side, it shows a list of friends that you’ve recently Snapchatted with. Hold down on their Snapchat name to change the name, block the person, or remove the person from your Snapchat list. Double tap to send a picture to the person, or swipe to the left to send a message without a picture. Also, on the home screen, there’s a small “Snapchat ghost” at the top of the screen. Swipe down on the ghost to see your picture, “add friends, “my friends,” and “added me.” Happy Snapchatting!!
