This Week's Golden Lions!
There were 26 Golden Lions awarded to students in just four school days this week. I thought you might be interested to see the descriptions for each of those 26 Golden Lions. Our students demonstrate GREAT character at Lakeview!
• Thanks for picking up the extra resources left in the classroom after music class!
• Natalie showed kindness and respect when she helped a student in our class who wasn't understanding what do to in writing. She sat next to him and demonstrated what to do and made sure he was ready to start writing. Thank you Natalie!
• [Name] has been safe at school for two weeks! She is following directions.
• Anastasia tries her best each day and asks for help when she needs it.
• Drew was really engaged learning in music today! Keep up the good work!
• Skarlette has done a wonderful job being ready to work and getting started right away. She is setting a great example for her classmates. Keep being amazing!
• Recently, at the end of recess, Ahmed stopped and said, "good game" to a classmate. Thanks for showing such great sportsmanship!
• Jazmine is always willing to help out around the classroom, especially when it comes to helping clean up. Jazmine is always willing to lend a helping hand and clean things up that don't belong to her. I appreciate her willingness to help keep our classroom clean and safe!
• Kassidy raises her hand to speak and listens carefully to directions.
• Leah works very hard and tries her best! She listens carefully to directions.
• Scarlett showed kindness and generosity by helping a student clean up the water that spilled from his water bottle in the hallway. Thank you, Scarlett!

• Miliana was being respectful and engaged during carpet time by keeping her eyes on the speaker, her ears listening, and her body calm. Keep up the great work Miliana!
• Dora has shown she is engaged by making connections and recalling what we learned about the day before. She thinks deeply about topics and always contributes meaningful answers and comments.
• Caleb is a great listener and very focused during the whole school day.
• Brooke shows she is engaged by recognizing all the snap words on the purple cards.

• Henry shows he is engaged by recognizing all the snap words on the purple cards.
• Vivvy consistently uses the counting-on strategy to solve addition problems.
