OLV Walk-A-Thon - The Tradition Continues
Since 2006 faculty, students, and staff have participated in the Walk-A-Thon. The event was created in memory of Mrs. Susan Crowe, who was a fervent supporter of Catholic education and OLVCS’s first track coach. She died suddenly in a car accident.
During the Walk-A-Thon, OLVCS students will walk a course through neighboring streets around the school.
At Our Lady of Victory Catholic School, OLV Day includes the Exercise for Education Walk-A-Thon. The Walk-A-Thon is our school's main fundraiser. Funds raised this year will directly support OLVCS’s goal of purchasing and implementing new technology to support our students both in the classroom and in remote learning. We are in the process of implementing new technology to ensure a 1:1 ratio in our school. This is a necessity as we move forward this year.
We are grateful to all the individuals, families, and businesses that financially support OLVCS through their financial contribution to the Walk-A-Thon. We are blessed to have such support for Catholic education!

Despite Playing Tough Defense, Crusaders Fall To DCC Boys Team
The Crusaders fought a tough battle against the Dubios Central Catholic School Cardinals at Orchard Field on Friday, September 25th. But, again came up short. Along with his fellow Crusaders, Andrew P. helped thwart a number of goal attempts.
This week the Crusaders are off, but action continues next week with two games: Monday at home (Orchard Park, 3:30PM kickoff) against P-O Mounties and then Thursday in Dubois for another re-match against the Cardinals.

SJCA Students Brave Mock Interviews With Peers
What's worse than an job interview? An job interview with a classmate! As part of the first semester Economics class taught by Mr. Richard Ciamboti, students prepared their own resumes and prepped for a job or internship interview. Last week, each student met with a classmate for a mock interview.
"The activity on Friday was a great lesson on possessing self-confidence and a professional attitude during an interview, " said Reece Bloom, SJCA senior. " (It) illustrated the importance of a job interview and being prepared for them in the future."

Our Lady of Victory Novena Prayer
Please join us in reciting this novena prayer to Our Lady of Victory:
Our Lady of Victory, we have unshaken confidence in your influence with your Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ. Humbly we ask your intercession for all of us associated under your title, Our Lady of Victory.
We beg your powerful assistance also for our own personal needs: [In silence mention personal intentions]. In your maternal kindness, please, ask Jesus to forgive all our sins and failings, and to secure His blessings for us all and for all the works of charity dedicated to your name.
We implore you to obtain for us the grace of sharing in Christ's victory and yours forever in the life that knows no ending. May we join you there forever to praise the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, One God, for all ages to come.
Amen
