Our Scheduling Software: Pinwheel
SHS and SMS have moved to a new scheduling software, named Pinwheel, for 2016-17. Pinwheel enables faculty, staff, parents, and students to subscribe to our school’s athletic calendars and activity calendars. Users have the ability to receive messages about and updates to the calendars via text and email. Please visit www.trypinwheel.com to create an account and start following the calendars of your child’s activities.
We are looking forward to utilizing this enhanced method of communicating with our faculty and families about SHS activities.
Scott 2 Drug Prevention Initiative
Scott 2 School Board recently passed the Student Random Drug Testing Policy for students at Scottsburg High School. Students electing to be in athletics, extra-curricular and co-curricular programs, or students who drive will be included in the random drug screen program.
Here is the link to the new policy: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1RLmVFmwd02yc5EMFtAt6g4e1vnvg1p2DJJJcZvHA3T
In addition, Scott 2 has partnered with our local law enforcement, including the K-9 Unit, as a part of the county-wide drug prevention initiative. As part of our partnership, we will be periodically conducting searches in our buildings.
