Need to Know
Middle School Closing Celebration: We are delighted to celebrate the end of the year with Grade 7&8 students from 4-5pm on Thursday, June 15! Each student is invited to bring a maximum of 2 guests. After a 30 minute closing in Coristine Hall, light refreshments will be served. Students must be wearing their full school uniform, including the SHS blazer. We expect all Grade 8 students to attend and Grade 7 students are encouraged to attend. No RSVP required; please inform Ms. Beech if your son (and guests) will not be able to join us for this event.
Phys. Ed. Selection for students entering Grade 8 in September: Please find a complete list of the intended MS phys. ed. offerings for 2023-24 here. Please note that all options are subject to change. We ask that you discuss the phys. ed. options at home and complete the Fall Phys. Ed. Course Selection Form by Friday, June 2. Winter and spring phys. ed. selection will take place next year, in advance of those trimesters. If you have any questions about the course offerings or our athletic program, please contact Mr. Mike Maurovich, Director of Athletics.
Grade 8 Science Lab Exam: On Thursday, June 8 Grade 8 students will have their lab exam between 8:15-9:30 am (or longer if they are allotted extra time). Please refrain from scheduling appointments for students on that day and make every effort to be on time that morning! Locations have been added to the MS Exam Schedule. Lab doors will be labelled that morning for assistance.
Middle School Exam Guidelines: Please carefully read these Guidelines for the MS Exams, being held June 12-14 from 9-11am. It is important that students are familiar with the expectations and protocols. Reminders: Exams begin at 9am each day. Students will only be allowed into the building at 8:50 a.m. and must leave when they've finished their exam each day. Students are expected to be dressed in full uniform. No lunch is served on exam days.
