Facts about Frederick Douglas
Fredrick Douglas was born in 1818 and was the son of a slave woman. Fredrick Douglas stayed with his grandparents in his early years and only saw his mother 5 times before his death. He was also a slave and was treated very brutally, so on January 1 1836 Frederick made a resolution that he would be free by the end of the next year. In April his resolution was fulfilled, he left the city and settled in Bedford Massachusetts. finally in 1845 his published his autobiography "Narrative of the life of Frederick Douglas, an american slave, written by himself".
