The Jews were kept out of work any job they had. Hitler made the German people believe that the Jews dominated Germany but really Jews made up less than 1 percent of the entire population. The Nazi fever spread on May 1st Berlin University decided to act "against the un-German spirt." They collected the work of the "undesirable writers" and threw them in a big bonfire. More than 70,000 tons of books before they were done. Afterwards Josef Goebbels made a speech at the scene called as "The age of extreme Jewish.
