Culture & Heritage Night, our annual celebration of the many cultures and heritages that make up the North Chevy Chase Elementary School community, is May 2, 2024 from 6-8pm. In addition to a multicultural potluck and flag parade, at Culture & Heritage Night, families have the option to display information about their culture(s) for others to learn. Is your family interested in displaying a poster board with information about your culture/heritage? The PTA can provide families with the poster boards. Please fill out this survey if you're interested. Or, if you'd like to volunteer in other ways please email Patty at pmd271@gmail.com.
The Annual Auction is NCC PTA's biggest fundraiser of the year and funds many of our larger initiatives such as After-School Achievers and Staff Appreciation. This year's Auction will take place solely ONLINE. Your help is needed to solicit donations and coordinate logistics! WE NEED 1-2 MORE VOLUNTEERS. Please email Rita at president@nccpta.org to join the Committee.
The NCC PTA General Membership Meeting is on April 8th at 7pm via Zoom. Nominations for the 24-25 PTA Executive Committee and the 24-25 proposed budget will be presented for discussion. THE PTA IS IN DANGER OF BEING UNABLE TO OPERATE NEXT YEAR AS WE DO NOT HAVE A NOMINEE FOR PTA PRESIDENT. To volunteer, please contact Rita at president@nccpta.org. Rita will provide guidance and support to the next President throughout their term.
Montgomery County Dept. of Recreation will host after school activities for NCC this Spring. The PTA worked really hard this year to provide engaging, affordable after school opportunities and we hope your students enjoy them! Please feel free to provide any feedback to Rita at president@nccpta.org. To register, please visit www.activemontgomery.com, establish an account, click "Search", click "Enroll with Activity Code" and then enter the Activity Code (R...) and Session (#s after the dash). The classes are only open to the students at our school and financial assistance is available from the County (Rec Assist).

Monday, April 22, 2024 has been designated a Virtual Learning Day for students. If your child needs a take-home computer, please let us know. Students parents, and MCPS staff can use this form to request a home use Chromebook for
MCPS students who do not have access to a personal or home device and are
attending a school, and grade level, returning to a classroom Chromebook cart
model. The home use device is to be kept at home. Requesting
the device implies consent of use in accordance with MCPS policy (IGT-RA) and
acknowledgement that the Chromebook, software, and issued peripherals are owned
by MCPS. Chromebooks will need to be returned to school in June 2024.
