A Message from our Student/Family Advocate, Brooke
Hello Harborview and TCLL Families!
Did you know that missing even 9 days of the school year can put your student at risk for academic and social delays? Learning losses due to absences can be very difficult to overcome, and may impact a person for a lifetime.
Let’s end the year strong with a focus on attendance! Of course, if your child is very sick or running a fever, they will need to stay home. However, mild colds are part of everyday life, and your child is welcome here! Masks are available in the front entry when needed.
If you are having any challenges with getting your child to school, or keeping your child in school, please contact Harborview front office, and they will put you in touch with me. Or, feel free to email: kathryn.allen@juneauschools.org. I’ll be happy to assist!. Kathryn “Brooke” Allen, Student/Family Advocate, Harborview Elementary.

Congratulations to Harborview student Esme Woolford!
Esme won in two categories as part of the 2024 Alaska Society for Technology in Education iDida Contest!
Each year, ASTE celebrates excellence in digital media by recognizing the most outstanding photos, movies, documentaries, podcasts, music, books, and more. We’re thrilled to announce our continued partnership with the Alaska Council for Social Studies, which brings several Social Studies-themed categories to the table.
New to the contest this year are categories dedicated to Digital Art. Furthermore, in an exciting development, we’re debuting a category specifically for projects that harness the power of artificial intelligence (AI) in their creation.
On February 19th, at the Captain Cook Hotel in Anchorage, Esme Woolford, a was recognized for her award-winning song, Don't Go to the Beach. Esme's song was written for the Alaska Science and Technology in Education iDidaContest; and Esme won 1st place in two categories: Audio & Tune
