Lenten Faith Journeys
Wednesdays & Thursdays . St. Thomas Church
St. Thomas is offering 2 programs during Lent to help you grow spiritually.
We invite you to join us for one or both opportunities each week.
Whichever fits into your schedule. Or your life. Wherever you are.
Everyone is welcome.
Taizé . Wednesdays at 7:00pm
What is Taizé?
We invite you to share your Lenten faith journey with us in this peaceful hour of reflection. Meditation is a key that can open many doors along the path to God. We tend to be so outer-focused that we lose track of the real path, which is the inner journey to a personal relationship with our Lord. Taizé is not a 'Catholic' service. It is an ecumenical service open to anyone on any stage of their faith journey.
In the silence of the heart God speaks.
If you face God in prayer and silence, God will speak to you.
- from ‘No Greater Love’ by Mother Teresa
Intro to Catechism . Thursday nights from 6:30-7:30pm
St. Thomas Church . McMillan Room (enter thru Ed Wing)
From Franciscan University, the Dr. Petroc Willey video presentation will introduce the Catechism, explain how to use it, and then share with us why it is a great tool of our faith. Bring your Catechism (the revised version) and some paper to take notes, as we go on a faith journey. Contact Sue at 815-978-1086 if you have questions.
