Bullying Prevention Month
During the month of October, Olive Branch High School will be observing Bully Prevention Month. We have activities planned throughout the month to bring schoolwide awareness to an issue that is plaguing our schools and communities. On Monday, October 4th all students are encouraged to WEAR BLUE to promote our #BLUEUP efforts against bullying. Our art students will be creating signs and posters to display throughout the building. The OBHS student ambassadors will lead several activities starting with a 'make friends' initiative creating positive messages on post its and distributing them to random students. The week of October 18th will be our week of inclusion. Ambassadors will leading our 'no one eats alone' in the cafeteria day, show support and reach out to students that never talk, and on October 20th WEAR ORANGE to show unity for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion day at OBHS. All month we will have bully prevention skits and videos featured on our Quistors Voices student lead tv program. A large unity banner will be displayed in the rotunda and students will be encouraged to define what unity means to them and suggest ways to continue the unity at OBHS.
Below is the National Bullying Prevention Bulletin from the Pacer Center with information on getting involved to help create a world without bullying. If you or someone you know if being bullied, please reach out to OBHS administrators and/or counselors to get help.
