3D PRINTED COVID-19 FACE SHIELDS
Our North district campuses have collected all of their 3D printers at the Harmony School of Excellence campus and have started making medical face shields. The teams in charge have been making hundreds of these face shields despite each one taking about 5 hours to make for the cost of about $1.50 per shield in materials. The completed shields are all later donated to hospitals around the area. Our own Technology teacher, Mrs. Ergul, is a part of this team and is working very hard to help our community, as you can see in the following pictures. If you are capable of helping in any way such as donating supplies for these shields, you can get in touch with Mrs. Ergul at eergul@harmonytx.org.
WE NEED YOUR HELP
The COVID-19 epidemic has changed much about the daily lives of our students and team members, as it has for countless others around the world. During this time, Harmony Public Schools aims to create an environment that is consistent, conducive to learning, and inclusive to all while keeping everyone safe.
Your donations will continue to help us meet the educational and physical needs of students in your community by providing them ongoing access to educational resources and other items of need.
Help Us Make N95 Medical Masks
Harmony has been proactively protecting those on the front lines by developing thousands of N95 medical masks through 3D printing techniques in our maker spaces. With your support, our students can continue developing these masks.
- Harmony Public Schools is accepting donations of raw plastic materials at its Innovation Lab
- Donate PTEG Filament for 3D Printers

HARMONY AT HOME
In this time of need, we have made it our priority to keep our students, faculty and staff safe while continuously learning and interacting with one another. Despite the recent events, we have made it our goal to keep in touch and be available as much as possible, while keeping everyone in the same pace as before. Our mission to prepare each and every student for college and career life by providing a safe, caring and collaborative atmosphere and a quality educational program still stands. And during this time, you have picked up the baton and carried on this mission.
Because of this unprecedented event, it has opened up everyone’s creativity and innovativeness beyond their wildest dreams. We are constantly inspired by the amazing jobs our Harmony families are doing to continue daily activities with your kids and keep them engaged. Whether it’s a day of movies in your pajamas with a touch of bed head, a day outside in the yard or a day full of multiple activities learning new skills...we applaud them all!
As a part of #HarmonyAtHome, we want to hear and share your stories from home, and see the fun and educational activities you are doing with your kids. We appreciate and recognize them all.
Feel free to share these stories and images of you and your family as we continue to face this unusual time together.
Tag us on https://www.facebook.com/HSTechnologyHouston/ or post on our wall, so we can see how #HarmonyAtHome has been a part of your family’s story.
