Athletic Eligibility
In January, the Onslow County School's athletic eligibility policy on attendance changes. When determining athletic eligibility for the second semester (January 24, 2018), any absences from the previous semester verified to be excused/lawful by the student’s school will not be considered. Students will forfeit athletic eligibility when unlawful/unexcused absences, out-of-school suspensions, or any combination of unlawful/unexcused absences and out-of-school suspensions during the previous semester exceed ten (10) days. No process will exist to request a waiver of unexcused/unlawful absences or out-of-school suspensions. Please keep in mind that any absences that exceed the ten unexcused allowable for athletic participation must be excused prior to the end of the current semester (January 19, 2018) in order for a student to be eligible for athletics in the following semester. Notes excusing absences after the final day of the semester for the purposes of athletic participation will not be accepted. If you have question's about your child's attendance, please contact Amy Rowntree, Trexler Data Manger, at 910.324.4414 or Amy.Rowntree@onslow.k12.nc.us.
Wrestling
Trexler's wrestling team hosted it's final match on Thursday, December 18th. Though the team did not have many members, the individuals that did participate showed tremendous effort. These wrestlers will participate in their final event beginning at 9:00am on Saturday, December 16th at the Onslow County Middle School Athletic Association Conference Wrestling Tournament located in Swansboro. Please come out to support our athletes.
Girls Soccer
The Lady Falcons finished their season 3-0-5. These athletes definitely deserved an undefeated season! Throughout the entire season, all team members showed tremendous heart and skill. Their ability to work together was also showcased at each match and practice, and the girls did not let anything separate them on the field. Congratulations goes out to these players. Coach Bostic and Coach Sunding have been honored to be your coach this season.
