Need to Know
Parent-Teacher Interviews: appointments can be made using pickAtime, our online system for booking parent-student-teacher interviews. pickAtime will open on Thursday, February 20 at 3:00 p.m. and close on Wednesday, February 26 at 2:00 p.m. The instructions for booking appointments are attached to this mailbag. Please note that interviews are not mandatory and you are always welcome to contact a teacher to arrange a phone call or alternate meeting time if that is preferable. Students are expected to attend interviews with their parents. They should be in uniform. On Thursday, February 27, please be advised that the Elementary School is in session until 2:30. Please do not park in front of the school or on Argyle prior to 2:30 p.m. as we need that area for pick up for the Elementary School.
All Parents: The second trimester ends on Friday, and the third trimester begins on Monday. Please underscore the importance of getting off to a great start in the third trimester. It is very tempting for the boys to think that once the second trimester is over they can coast to the March break. The third trimester is 60% of the final grade, so coasting in the first two weeks of the trimester is not wise. Please cheer your son on to make the best of those two weeks and move into the break for a well-deserved rest.
The re-enrollment form is due Friday, February 28. To secure your son’s enrollment for the 2020-2021 academic year please check off the appropriate box on the re-enrollment form and return this form to Ms. D. Dragone in the Business Office. It is crucial for the school’s planning that we have accurate and complete re-registration figures. The re-enrollment fee secures your son’s place for next year.

THANK YOU and Congratulations
Message from the Parent Volunteer Association: Thanks for an epic teacher appreciation week Selwyn Parents! With your help we offered 4 successful events, including a breakfast, a “speakeasy” complete with mocktails and bartenders, an Oscar-themed lunch and finally the backlot canteen (postponed to Monday due to the snow day!). I think it’s safe to say the teachers and staff feel known and loved! Remember to pick up your dishes in the after school office across from reception. See the photo gallery below for images from the week.
Message from Selwyn House teachers and staff: Thank you to all the parents who helped make our Staff Appreciation Week such a wonderful experience! We are truly spoiled with the treats, healthy breakfasts, speakeasy, beautiful staff luncheon and so many lovely raffle prizes. Your thoughtfulness and generosity are very much appreciated!
