CMS' Mirage Starts Off Strong Earning A Silver Medal With Some Summer Dreaming On A Snowy Saturday Night!
Parents & Guardians:
We have another busy week ahead of us as we look to close out Term #2. This past week, Mr. Olson and I took the opportunity to meet with all of the students to review CMS' learning and behavioral expectations. We both love when we have everyone together so we can connect the dots and help students understand "why" learning is important. We also give students an opportunity to bring up concerns they may have pertaining to school. These types of Town Hall Assemblies are very important, and it helps us gain mileage toward keeping a strong, supportive learning environment. Additionally, we also like to encourage students to email us directly if they are having difficulties. All in all, our students were receptive and it's always good to calibrate the learning compass, especially at the midpoint of the year.
Since it is the midpoint of the year, I have added a small Parent/Guardian Survey within this email. Please take a couple of minutes to provide us with your feedback as we will continue to reflect upon our current practices. I promise it will be brief, but your answers will be very important for our continued growth and will be shared with my Instructional Team.
Additionally, you will see information below to sign up your 5th or 6th grade student for my Principal's Advisory Group. This group will have an opportunity meet directly with Mr. Olson and me regarding school improvements and other school related issues. We will meet once (or twice) a month on Mondays from 2:30-3:30 p.m. The first meeting will be Monday, January 27, 2020. If you want your child to take part in this great opportunity, please fill out the information below. This is a great opportunity to gain leadership skills and have a voice within our school.
We are looking forward to another wonderful week of learning at CMS. As always, please let me know if I can assist you in any capacity. We are all in this journey together.
Wishing everyone a wonderful week!
