Class Fees
The Madison County Student Course Catalog 2019-20 located on the MCBOE and Hazel Green High websites, list classes that require fees. These fees are set by the Madison County Board of Education. Please look at the list of classes above that require class fees. Please check your student's schedule for these classes. Class fees are due by September 6th and can be paid online at MySchoolFees (no student ID number required) or by cash or check at HGHS.
Student Council Elections
Costa Rica Trip Meeting
Students interested in going on the Costa Rica trip in June should attend a parent orientation meeting this Thursday, August 15, at 6 p.m. in Mrs. Dean's room (C110). This meeting is for new participants only. You do NOT have to be a Spanish student to participate. See Mrs. Dean or Mrs. Smith for more information.

Due to the Severe Heat Advisory for this week, soccer tryouts have been postponed.

Online Survey
The Madison County Board of Education is currently accepting applications for Superintendent of Madison County Schools. Part of the selection process includes a survey of stakeholders about qualifications and skills they would like to have in a superintendent. Parents, please take a moment to complete this anonymous survey by August 12.
Current Announcements
Back to School Dance: Please join us for a Back to School Dance on Saturday, August 17th! Tickets can be purchased in advance for $6. Tickets will be sold at the door for $10.
Tickets for the Back to School Bash will be sold Thursday and Friday during lunch.
Senior Portraits: Seniors, there is still time to schedule your senior portraits for the yearbook! Click here for more information.
Trojan Ambassadors: There will be a Trojan Ambassador meeting Tuesday, August 13, before and after school in the Black Box Theater.
NHS: There will be a National Honor Society meeting for current members Wednesday, August 14, in Mrs. Cole's room before or after school. Service hours are due and will be collected from all members.
Softball: Softball tryouts will be August 14th and 15th after school. You MUST have a physical to tryout. Please come to Coach Henson's room (N235) by Monday, August 12th, to sign up.
Basketball Cheer: If you are interested in Basketball Cheerleading, there will be a parent and athlete tryout meeting on August 14th at 5:00 p.m. in the lunchroom. Please see Mrs. Miller (C200) or Mrs. Frasier (S208) for more information and cheer tryout packets.
Wrestling: There will be a general interest meeting for wrestling in Coach Glenn's room (S212) right after school on Thursday, August 15th. All students interested in wrestling this year need to attend. See Coach Glenn for more information.
Schola Literati: There's an exciting new student organization at HGHS! It's Schola Literati – a literary society stressing the importance of reading and learning from the greatest works of literature (fiction and non-fiction) in the history of Western Civilization. Click here to find out more!

Career Learning Resources (link below) include folders created for career clusters. Each folder has videos, interactives, etc. with information about careers related to each cluster. For example, if you are interested in Government and Public Administration, this tool will allow you to learn about the different careers that fall under that category.
