Eagle News | June 2023
Dear VC Family,
My prayer is that you have all had a blessed start to the summer season, despite the relentless heat we are experiencing at this time in south Louisiana. This year was an extraordinary year during which we have marked so many successes and abundant blessings for our students and school community.
We would also like to take this opportunity to welcome all of the new VC Eagles and to welcome back all of our current families! Our successes are made possible through the faith and action of each of you!
This June edition of the Eagle News has much important information regarding Summer at VC and next school year. Remember to follow us on our school social media accounts and visit our school website for continuous updates.
We are praying that you have a restful and rejuvenating summer. We look forward to seeing you all on
August 4, our first day of school!
Thank you for your continued support of the mission and vision of our school. Have a great summer!
Enter to Learn Christ, Leave to Serve Christ - Through Christ we soar!

Summer Reading
We are in the process of revising our summer reading program for 6th-12th grades. It is a documented fact that reading is known to increase student achievement across all grade levels. We want our students to read for information but also for enjoyment. Therefore, for the summer of 2023, all students will be required to read an age appropriate book of their choice. On the first day of school in all 6th-12th grade English classes, the students will be required to write an essay in class on the book read.
Faith and Formation Information
Please join us in welcoming Deacon John Dugas to VC! We are so excited to have him around campus this school year. Welcome to VC, Deacon John!
