Electronic Medical Records

We should invest money into the digitization of medical records.
According to Health IT, the benefits of having electronic medical records include keeping "track of data over time, identify patients who are due for preventative visits and screening, monitor how patients measure up to certain parameters, and improve the overall quality of care in a practice".
It would be easier to see the patient's history and share information among people in the health care field. Health care professionals not from the same hospital as the patient frequents would still be able to see the patient's medical history in the case that the patient has to visit because of an emergency. Medical history and data among different hospitals can also be used to diagnose a patient with a fatal illness.
