Highlights of the Week
Our students have also continued with swimming lessons this week, and will wrap up lessons next week. Swimming is not only an important life skill, but is also a fun way to be active. It has been great watching the students enjoy their time in the water!
I am sure everyone is aware of the bus crash in our division this week. As a parent and teacher, my heart dropped as I heard the news. Thankfully the injuries were minor, and everyone is doing ok. It made me appreciate Bob and Mary, and the role and responsibility they have to get our students to and from school safely.
Feild Trip to Alberta Legislature
On Friday, the grade 5-9s are going to Edmonton. We have two stops in Edmonton to fill our day. The first will be the Edmonton Public Library. If you have never been to the library downtown, it is amazing! The library staff will lead our students through three stations in their incredible Makerspace. After the library, we will have a tour of our Alberta Legislature Building. I am excited for this opportunity as well, as I have never been on a tour there, and have heard that it is a great experience. Below I have included the letter that was sent home on Friday. Please have the permission forms signed and handed in at this beginning of this week.

Student of the Week - Teila Lipka-Hogg
Teila worked hard in the week leading up to report cards, making sure to have all of her required assignments submitted. This improved work ethic will serve her well as we start our final term this year and get ready for final exams. Great work, Teila!
