Homeostasis
How does eating every helps your body❓❓
Digestive System
The system by which ingested food is acted upon by physical and chemical means to provide the body with absorbable nutrients and to excrete waste products; in mammals the system includes the alimentary canal extending from the mouth to the anus, and the hormones and enzymes assisting in digestion.
The Pancreas and Stomach
A pancreas is a large gland behind the stomach that secretes digestive enzymes into the doudenum. Embedded in the pancreas are the islets of Langerhans, which secrete inti the blood the hormones insulin and glucagon. A stomach the internal organ in which the major part of the digestion of food occurs, being (in humans and many mammals) a pear-shaped enlargement of the alimentary canal linking the esophagus to the small intesttine.
Liver
a large lobed glandular organ in the abdomen of vertebrates, involved in many metabolic processes.
an organ similar to a liver in other animals.
the flesh of an animal's liver as food.
Gallbladder
The small sac-shaped organ beneath the liver, in which bile is stored after secretion by the liver and before release into the intestine.
Large Intestine
The cecum, colon, and rectum collectively.
Homeostasis
The tendency toward a relatively stable equilibrium between interdependent elements, especially as maintained by physiological processes.
