Dear Sequoia Families,
Fine Arts Day was a great success! I hope your children had a fun day exploring the art lessons available. If you haven't checked out the art gallery, you can see all the photos of art sent in here: https://sequoiaparents.org/fine-arts-day. All our kids did an awesome job! Thanks to Amy Niesen and Dian Ross for helping create family art kits and an extra shout out to Dian Ross for organizing this awesome virtual art experience for all our students!
I want to update you on student item pick up at the end of the year. On May 28th and 29th, we will have students and families pick up student items, drop off library books, chromebooks/chargers and an instrument if you weren't able to drop it off last week. In order to observe social distancing guidelines, this will be a drive through event through our front parking lot. Please do not park and walk up to collect student items. Time frames are separated by grade level and we know this will likely mean some families will need to come multiple times and/or days. While this is an inconvenience, we want to make this as safe and organized as possible and also allow students to see their grade level teachers one last time before summer. Please make sure to come at your assigned time to limit overcrowding of the front parking lot.
Sequoia's pick up schedule will be as follows:
May 28th:
8:00 - 9:30 - Kindergarten
10:00 - 11:30 - 1st Grade
12:30 - 2:00 - 2nd grade
2:00 - 3:30 - 3rd Grade
May 29th:
8:00 - 9:30 - 4th Grade
10:00 - 11:30 - 5th Grade
12:30 - 2:00 - 6th grade
The show must go on....the Sequoia Talent Show that is! Talent Show submissions are due Friday, May 15th. Please see the information below for rules, guidelines and where to submit videos. I'm excited to see our Sequoia Giants' talent in action!
Lastly, we know there have been a lot of questions about yearbooks and we will have a follow up email to all families later this week about how you can still purchase a yearbook and when they will be ready for pick up.
