Good evening everyone!
Students: Let's start the 4th quarter off in a great way! Remember attendance policies and make sure you get to school and class on time. Again, we want to remind you all to stay academically focused, so you can successfully complete the last quarter and school year. We are here to help you. Please reach out to your teachers, Brother Joe (for counseling), Christian (for attendance), Russ (academic support) and always know my office is open if you need to visit about any concerns or questions you might have.
Parents: If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. Your involvement and support are key to our shared success.

This Week in Sports
Girls Basketball
Congratulations to the Girls Basketball team and Coaches who are State bound this week! What an awesome experience it was being in the crowd with so many other Mahpiya Luta fans watching you all defeat Belle Fourche! As you prepare to face Vermillion in the first round at State, know that you have many rooting for you.
Boys Basketball
Great job to the Boys Basketball team this season! We have a young group that worked very hard earning the 4th Seed in Region 7A. We will have most players back next season and they're looking to have a great off-season.

SENIORS
Senior Spotlight
As we near the end of the school year, we want to take a moment to shine the spotlight on our seniors. We have two Seniors this week. In this spotlight this week is Neveah Tobacco.
Neveah has been actively involved in wrestling and contributing time and involvement with the Senior Class. In addition to qualifying for State Wrestling this season, Neveah was selected as an Igluha Award Recipient at Mahpiya Luta.
Neveah has committed to Chadron State College where she plans on majoring in Criminal Justice and minoring in Physical Education. Her career goals include working for the BIA and when she retires she wants to referree for wrestling. As Neveah finishes her last semester in high school, she's also preparing to embark on the next chapter of her journey. We have no doubt that she will continue to achieve great things.
Senior Spotlight
As we near the end of the school year, we want to take a moment to shine the spotlight on our seniors. The other Senior Spotlight for this week is Zuya Romero.
Zuya has sworn into the United States Marine Corps. Zuya said, "I wanted to do this because we as Lakota were warriors and I want to be as close to a Lakota Warrior as I can. I will take that next step just as many of my family and ancestors did before."
Zuya, your decision to serve the country is commendable, and we are proud of your commitment to uphold the values of honor, courage, and commitment. We wish you the best as you embark on this new chapter, and we thank you for your willingness to protect, just as our ancestors did.
