Mrs. Greene's 3rd Grade
March 19, 2018
A Great Week!
Things I saw happen in Room 9 this week...
- Addi decided to use her SSL time to research some information about Rocks and Minerals. The reason I love this is because we are learning about this in Science right now. She is going to be presenting her new knowledge to the class throughout our unit of study.
- Cole has had a very productive week of SSL time. He learned some really interesting information about man-of-wars and taught the information to me!
- Bridget has been "ON IT" in all areas of 3rd grade! She is raising her hand to answer questions and add her smart ideas to class discussions.
- Shota practiced reading with expression with me several times this week. I recorded him and let him listen to how much his reading has changed. His smile was priceless!
- Siddharth worked very hard on his final writing piece for the 3rd quarter. It was a pleasure to watch him.
- Natalie and Salma are very good friends. Sometimes good friends struggle to have self-control in the classroom. Let's face it, they would rather be socializing! Well, they are showing such maturity by staying focused on the learning in all areas of 3rd grade!
- At recess today JC ran into another student (girl) - she went down hard! The concern he showed on his face as he was asking her if she was ok and trying to help her, was precious!
- I am having fun with Griffin as he uses his SSL time to research baseball.
- Riya was so excited to share her information about a math competition she entered last night. It was fun to hear her thoughts about the event!
These are just a few of the MANY things I observed! Stay tuned for more...
We only have nine school days until Spring Break. We are going to make the most of every single day together!
Looking forward to a GREAT week next week!
Enjoy your weekend...
