Skyview Upper Elementary School
Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, Citizenship. The Skyview learning community is rooted in the pillars of character. As educators, we believe in the importance of these traits and in helping our students to learn and grow in these areas. We live in challenging times and our children have witnessed disturbing events that do not model these pillars of character. As a school we remain committed to developing these essential character traits in our school community so that our students are ready to be positive, productive members of the greater community.
It can be difficult to talk to our children about topics that may frighten them like the tragic events at the U.S. Capitol earlier this week. I have included some resources for parents to help guide those important conversations. As always, we encourage students and parents to reach out to our staff for support.
