Grade cards will be emailed and mailed home this coming week.
Soon each student will receive an unofficial paper copy of their transcript in their Advocacy. I write notes on each transcript like: if they are on track, behind, what classes they might need to take or re-take, etc. I did this last year and the feedback from students and teachers were so positive I decided I would do it again. This also helps the advocacy teachers to know where each of their students stand academically.
If students or parents have any questions regarding that transcript please email or call me.

Mid-America Technology Center Update
If a student was on the fence about attending, I highly encouraged them to go through with the interview. They can always decline later if they were accepted. If they do not get accepted as a junior it is more difficult to get accepted later. That does not mean they will not get the opportunity, it just means it is harder.
I am very proud of the students and the high number of students interested. We had many juniors and seniors interview as well. I wish them all luck!
Murray State Information
My name is Laney Tibbs and I am the department chair for the President's Scholarship Program at Murray State College. We hope you and your students can join us for an evening for high school students to visit the Tishomingo campus and learn about the scholarship opportunities through our program. The event will consist of information sessions, Q&A, as well as campus tours. Below is our Save the Date for this upcoming event.
Our Honors Program requires a minimum of 21 ACT and a 3.5 GPA. There is an application process as well as an interview.
The scholarship covers 16 credit hours per semester, up to $900 in fees, and up to $1000 towards the student's room/board.
OCCC Enrollment Opportunity
OCCC is offering to come to our campus to have a senior enrollment day. This would be for graduating seniors attending OCCC next school year.
They would bring an advisor/enrollment counselor out to assist in actual enrollment.
I don't want to waste their time if we do not have any students who are attending OCCC next year.
If you or your student are interested in me setting this up PLEASE HAVE YOUR STUDENT RESPOND TO the EMAIL I sent out to them.
I must have enough interest to benefit them to come to our campus.
