Wentworth School 20-21 Yearbook Cover Contest
As you know, Mrs. Clive, our Yearbook advisor, has organized a cover design contest for students. Over 130 entries were received, narrowed down by teacher votes to 10 finalists, and now students are voting on the front and back cover design. Voting ends on Monday, and students can find the link to vote in their Seesaw announcements.
Our kids are AMAZING! This LINK brings you to a slideshow of all entries, and I selected a few pieces of art work to featured in this newsletter...and there will be more to come! The contest has been a bright and exciting opportunity for our students.

It is Never Too Early to Start Planning for Higher Education
Getting a Leg Up on Planning and Paying for Higher Education
Wed, February 24, 2021, 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM EST
About
It’s never too early to start thinking about how to afford higher education. The good news is, there are steps families can take even before high school that make affording education after high school much easier. During this session, you’ll learn some tips and strategies, both financial and non-financial, that can lead to more financing options, and allow middle and high school families to feel prepared and confident when planning for their child’s education after high school.Speakers:
Mary Dyer, Financial Education Officer, Finance Authority of Maine (FAME) and President of Maine Jump$tart Coalition
Mila Tappan, College Access and Outreach Manager, Finance Authority of Maine (FAME)
Safety Tip of the Week
Each day on the morning announcements we feature a safety tip, a quick reminder meant to keep everyone on the same page about safety protocols at school. This week we are highlighting a safety tip reminder for families. Please include an extra, clean mask or two in your students backpack each day. Slipping in a plastic sandwich bag to store any soiled masks is also recommended. Kids are playing hard at recess and are often coming inside with wet masks from heavy breathing in colder temperatures. We are also reminding students to change masks after sneezing. We definitely have extras on hand, but it is a big help if students have their own (preferred) masks from home. Thank you!
