Defending our Assessment Practices
Students are the main focus when it come to assessments.
Assessment
Assessments are used to help teachers guide their students and to improve the quality of their lessons. Assessments are also used to show accountability to the teachers. Assessments show teachers how their students are learning. Assessments should reflect good instruction, happen everyday during instruction, and should provide data about the student progress. The data from the assessment should be used to make sure the student is successful. Assessments are needed for effective teaching and a quality learning environment. (Lopez, 2013). Students should be involved with the assessment process.
Defending my Assessment Practices
Do you participate in assessments that you find no value in for students?
Are you using an assessment you have no idea how to deliver, but are afraid to ask for help with?
