Titan Updates...
St. Bonaventure University Programming Competition
On Friday, March 22 two teams from Schroeder and two teams from Thomas competed in the 31st Annual St. Bonaventure University Programming competition. Thomas participants were Allison Broccolo, AJ Charlebois, Michael Geraci, Jack Griebel, Patrick Mason, Lexi Valachovic, Alessandra Visca, Nolan White and Schroeder participants were Jason Brown, Spenser Dewey, Nathan Hunt, Jensen Li, Allison Lisciandro, Anirudh Sharma, Cloe Wemett. Students solved programming problems consisting of calculating an Iron Man race, GPS tracking of a hike, implementing a Candy Crush game, determining whether a product existed that contained only binary digits, evaluating data for fake news, filling various baskets to capacity and creating palindromes. Students also found bugs in existing programs through testing. Thomas teams solved seven total problems correctly. Schroeder teams each solved seven problems correctly and placed fourth and fifth out of 21 teams.

...speaking of Mr. Fagan, here is another great representation of his work.
Titan Staff honored at RIT
Each year the Rochester Institute of Technology honors its Outstanding Scholars, a select group of students who have completed at least 83 credit hours of study and earned a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.85 for all work completed at the university as of the previous spring term. As part of the Scholars’ recognition, each student was asked to identify a high school or community college teacher that had a profound influence on their academic development and have been an inspiration in their life.
Three Webster faculty were chosen by four Webster graduates to receive this honor on Thursday, March 28. Grant Korensky (Schroeder graduate) recognized Andrew Gill, Catherine Osadciw (Thomas graduate) recognized Jamie Fagan and Liam and Jack Smith (Schroeder graduates) honored Sage Miller.

Titans ROC2CHANGE!
Today, 13 Titans are attending the Roc2Change Youth Summit sponsored by Spencerport CSD.
Roc2Change emerged as students from Monroe County began to come together to address race relations in their communities. Today, students from across the county will again engage in facilitated dialogue with peers related to race, racism, privilege, internalized racism, non-racism and anti-racism. The purpose is to empower them to develop plans to "be the change" in our local and school communities.
This year, students will attend sessions on health and housing, economics and employment, education and law enforcement. Our hope is to bring back the knowledge we've gained through this experience to Thomas to work to continue to enhance our climate of acceptance and celebration of our student body.
Thank you to Mrs. Salvione and Mrs. Anson for organizing this opportunity for our school.
