Principal's Corner ๐
Greetings Aspire Families,
We are quickly nearing the end of the quarter and semester. When we return from next week's Thanksgiving vacation, there will be just a few short weeks before the close of the grades and Winter Break. If students are missing open assignments, this is a great time to get caught up.
We have a fun event for all of our full-time students: Jingle Mingle! This will be held at the Innovation Center on Friday, December 2 from 5:00pm-7:00pm. This is a free event and a great opportunity for students and their families to spend time together. All students who attend will get their name entered for free into a drawing for great items such: bowling passes for 4; Sky Zone passes for 3, Google Mini, and much, much more! There will also be an opportunity to purchase tickets for a basket sponsored by our amazing PTSA!
We need volunteers for this event so please consider signing up for a 30 minute shift: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0F4DACAF28ABFBCE9-jingle
We wish all of our students and their families a Happy Thanksgiving!
Please check you students Canvas courses for any upcoming examinations or district interims.
As always, if you questions or concerns, please contact your administrator, Juliet Amara 7-12 and Laura Victor K-6 @ Aspire@dvusd.org .

K-3 students
We are excited to announce that we are offering in-person DIBELS testing for K-3 students. DIBLES is a state mandated test taken three times each year. Our goal is to collect the most current and accurate data to measure reading skills and plan instruction aligned with those results. In person testing provides a means for us to get to know your child while testing in a comfortable and secure environment. We HIGHLY encourage your child to come to the Innovation Center between 1:00-3:30 on Tuesday 12/6/22 or Wednesday 12/7/22. While at the center, there will be other learning opportunities for your child.
Sign up for your in-person DIBLES testing here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0d48afaf2aa13-dibels
