Yvette Greco
My name is Yvette Greco and I’m very excited to be teaching World Languages and Spanish for Platte County.
I am originally from Los Angeles, California. I taught for 12 years in California, and I have a teaching credential from California State University, Los Angeles. I am also certified in Missouri to teach Spanish K-12, Grades 1-6 and Birth -3rd grade.
We moved to the Midwest ten years ago when my husband accepted a teaching position at Benedictine College. I became a stay at home mother to my three young children who are now 14, 12, and 8 years old.
I began substitute teaching for Platte County Schools two years ago, and working in Platte was such a great experience that I knew I wanted to resume my teaching career here.
I really look forward to teaching World Languages and Spanish at Barry and Platte County High School!
Stephanie Richison
I have been married to my husband Dan for 12 years. I am originally from Boston (Go Sox and Pats! Sorry, only KC team I root for is Sporting) Dan and I have 3 kids-Tyler, Wesley, and Isabelle. In my spare time I enjoy baking, reading, watching my kids play soccer, running, and anything Harry Potter!
Sarah Shoup
Hello! My name is Sarah Shoup and I am thrilled to be joining the 5th grade team at Barry this year! I recently graduated from Park University (home of the Pirates!) with my Bachelor of Science degree in Education and a minor in English Studies.
I was born and raised in the Northland and have always dreamed of someday teaching in my hometown community. I am the oldest of 3 girls and we are all constantly in search of new adventures. I am a second-generation teacher, and my Mother was one of the main influences in my deciding to be a teacher.
In my free time I like to read, spend time outdoors, and cook different foods from around the world.
As a teacher I value student choice, collaboration, independence, and accountability in the classroom. I strive to create a close community of students who will become life-long learners and strong leaders.
I am so excited to begin this new adventure at Barry School and pursue my passion for teaching. Go Pirates!
