Her Life
Billie Holiday was a jazz and blues singer that started her big career of music in 1933. Holiday was born on April 7, 1915 in Philidelphia, Pennylvania. Her birth name was Eleanora Fagan. She had a very bad childhood, she had such bad grades that at the age of 11 she had dropped out. At the age of 19, her parents mother kicked her out for becoming pregnant. Because of such a bad life she relied on music to help her. She sold many records and was a very big name in music history. Sadly she died on July 17, 1959 in New York City, New York at the age of 44.
