ASSESSMENT IS NOT ABOUT THE TEACHER
IT IS ABOUT THE STUDENTS
I think that his statement hits it on the head when trying to find the perfect way to incorporate information to students. I think that it is important to try and build an assessment around the students because it can help you learn more about them as individuals and it can also help you better yourself as an instructor. Reading this statement from Lopez did change my mind set on how to teach students. I use to think that I should teach students in a way that I can easily maneuver myself around and make time for everyone. I think that building the assessment around the students make it easier to find out their strengths and weaknesses and how well they are obtaining the information that is being presented to them.

WHY SHOULD YOU ASK QUESTIONS?
I think that the questions that are utilized can help the instructor dig deep into the mind of their students. I feel that they also can help bring more feedback from students. These questions can also help instructors figure out what areas they need to improve on and what areas are working. I feel that these questions can add great value to my practice because I will know and understand that I am on the right track in teaching my students in a way in which they can become successful individuals.
