You can find so much research about the benefits of children listening to stories, whether it is being read aloud by a family member, friend or teacher or from any one of the ever-growing types of audio that can be found online. Podcasts are a wonderful (and usually free) resource. Here are some that I have listened to with my own family and some that are new to me. Have fun exploring and let me know if you have any others to add to this list! I'll add them as I find them.
I've also included information about Connecticut's state book award, the Nutmeg Book Award, as well as Camp Wonderopolis with a great music theme, and MakerCamp.
Happy listening and have a great summer!
