Week 4, We Got This!
Hello Luce Crew,
I hope you had a great long weekend. Thank you to all the families who sent in photos of their children in Luce Swag. We had a whopping 47 submissions!!! This week, teachers will begin to transition to remote learning. Teachers will prepare to advance the core curriculum (ELA, Math, Science & Social Studies). We will strive to provide a combination of on and off-screen learning tasks for all students. We want to ensure learning is engaging, and aligned to Common Core State Standards (CCSS), and not always dependent on screen-time.
Remote Learning is Expected
We have made a shift from all student learning opportunities being “optional” to remote learning being “expected. What does that mean? Students should thoroughly complete work assigned by their classroom or specials (i.e. PE, Art, etc...) teacher.
Please see additional information in the attached letter from the superintendent on Phase 2 below.
Friday, April 17th is Pajama Day
This coming Friday, April 17th, we will have Pajama Day. We will end our week and slide into the long weekend in cozy Pajamas. Please make sure to be ready for Pajama Day next Friday! Please email me pictures and I will put them in the next week's bulletin.
Pictures Needed
We would love to publish more photos of how our community is doing in our next bulletin. Please continue to email me pictures, and I will post them. Keep them coming!
Luce Crew Shout Out!
This week, our teachers are preparing for the shift of remote learning. They continue to work hard each week to provide engaging in learning opportunities for each child at the Luce. Your child's teacher will be in contact with you regarding learning opportunities as we shift to remote learning.

Hello Luce School Families,
I hope everyone is doing well. I wanted to inform you that the health office will be supporting students, families, and staff by holding office hours from 10:00-11:00 AM daily. During this time, you can email me with health questions, consultations, updates, or just to connect. I will also be checking email several times during the day if these hours aren’t convenient for you.
I can help you access educational health information and direct you to resources aimed at promoting and prioritizing health and mental wellness for children and adults during this COVID-19 pandemic.

I will be contacting parents to return any medication that will be needed at home.

Please know that I am thinking of all of you and miss you!
Stay healthy,
Mrs. Warren
