ESOL TALC Class
Our ESOL population, while still relatively small, is growing tremendously. This class will help outfit you with tools to work with ESOL students (and others). We have ways to prepare you!
Option 1
Applications are now being accepted for the Spring 2019 Cohort of the GCPS ESOL Endorsement Program.
- GCPS ESOL Endorsement Spring 2019 Cohort
- Applications due by December 7, 2018
- J. Alvin Wilbanks Instructional Support Center
The program consists of three courses: Cultural Systems, Applied Linguistics, and Methods and Materials. Classes are 50% online and 50% face to face. An embedded practicum is included in the final course. Participating teachers may provide ESOL services beginning in the fall of 2019.
Option 2
North Gwinnett Middle School will host a TALC class second semester. It will meet every Tuesday from Jan. 22nd through March 26th (10 weeks). Each class will be from 5-7. Teachers who take the TALC class must still pass the ESOL GACE to become certified.
See Mrs. Gray for a cohort application or if you are interested in the TALC class.

FYI
I See YOU
Exhausted office staff, I see you.
Answering the phone, the door, the buzzer and walkie talkie in rapid fire mode at times.
I See You
De-escalating the concerned parent, teacher, and student. Trying to support everyone.
I See You
Keeping our school going by doing all the behind the scene things that most people don’t realize get done. With a smile. All day, every day. I see you making our school look beautiful and welcoming. Thank you!
Exhausted food service staff, I see you.
Keeping our kids nourished. Smiling and greeting students, even when manners aren’t returned.
I See You
Making a difference and building relationships outside of the classroom. Making special events shine so our families feel welcomed.
I See each of YOU!
Thank you, Team Suwanee! #suwaneepride
