Jog-A-Thon Fundraiser Update
Thank you to all of you who have been volunteering and/or helping our Tigers fundraise to reach our school wide goal of $65,000 to support Wildwood students. With less than 2 weeks to go until our Jog-A-Thon (3/28) and the fundraising deadline of April 9, here's where we stand right now:
- Our first class to reach their class fundraising goal and earn ice-cream sandwiches at recess is Mrs. Riss' Lightning Cats.
- Mrs. Buck's Super Sonic Red Skittles are our top earning class this week and will enjoy a class lunch in the near future.
- Only 15 more students need to register to reach 100% registration and a free round of miniature golf at Golf-N-Stuff for all students. You do not have to give any money to register, so if you haven't please register NOW so your student's class can reach their goal. Click HERE to register.
- We have donations from 40 states and are only 10 away from an all-school BBQ! Know anyone from Iowa, Kansas, or Maine that might be willing to donate?
- 23 students have earned one of our brand-new Wildwood blankets by raising over $450 each!
- Our school fundraising total as of 11:02am on March 16: $43,170.47
Please join in the fun and donate if you can - every dollar and every minute volunteering makes a difference!

Birthdays at Wildwood
At Wildwood Elementary, we enjoy celebrating students on their birthdays. All students have their names read over the loudspeaker and receive a birthday pencil first thing in the morning on their birthdays. Teachers also take great pride in helping your child feel treasured on their special day.
Please know that you do not have to send treats or gifts with your child on their birthday. If you do feel the need to send something for your child, please do not send any food items or pass them out to students before or after school. Instead, consider sending small non-edible treats (stickers, pencils, etc.) or a small class gift such as a board game, book, or puzzle with your child's name and birthday on it.
By collectively following these guidelines, our birthday students will be celebrated and the wellness of all members of our Tiger family will be elevated.
Get the Word Out
Do you have a neighbor or friend within our Wildwood boundary who has an incoming TK or Kinder student? Please remind them to register NOW to secure their spot and aide us in our projected staffing. We appreciate your help in getting the word out.
Wildwood Enrollment Projection Form - We're more than halfway there!
In order to properly plan classes and staffing for the 2024-2025 school year, we are requesting that ALL families who currently have a child attending Wildwood Elementary complete THIS FORM. Half of our families have already completed this form...Thank you!
If you have more than 1 child currently attending Wildwood, please complete a separate form for each child. This form should take less than 1 minute to complete.
Families of 5th grade students do not need to complete this form for your 5th grade student because we are already aware that they will be moving on.

Lost & Found - Going SOON!
If your child lost a clothing item (LOTS of jackets), lunch bag, or water bottle on campus, it's likely we have found it. Our Lost & Found cart is usually stored in the MPR, and we will begin placing it out front on the last day of every school week for you to sift through. At the end of the trimester, all remaining items will be donated to a local charity.
Next School Spirit Day - March 27
On Wednesday of the last week of school before Spring Break, we will kick off the vacation week with a fun dress-up day: "Tourist Day / Destination Day". Students are encouraged to wear what they might wear on vacation or wear something from one of their favorite destinations. Does your student still have that souvenir shirt, hat, or sweatshirt from your trip to Boston...wear it! Want to wear something celebrating a special town, city, state, or country you love...go for it! Want to go the tourist route...have fun!
STEAM Update
This week in STEAM we continued to explore with thermochromic paper. Our Kinder through 2nd graders loved running around campus looking for objects that would cause their paper to change from blue to white.
This week’s wish list:
- coffee filters -the round kind
- colored construction paper
- colored popsicle sticks
- adult size white socks
- salt
- vinegar
- pre-1982 pennies (I know, but we need copper ones!)
Thank you!
~Mrs. Casey
