The PTSA and Daniel Warren Annual Book Drive.
Wow! The books are already pouring in. Thank you!
The PTSA and Daniel Warren are hosting a āchildrenās used book driveā. We are collecting children's books and we invite your child(ren)to be involved in selecting books to donate from their personal libraries. Donations should consist of books your child and family have outgrown and are āsitting on the shelf waiting to be enjoyed by another child.ā No adult books please. All books will be donated to the Darien Book Aid to help enrich the literary lives of less fortunate children far and near.
Books may be dropped off in the box in the entryway beginning February 26th ending March 15th.
As one of the ways students learn about service projects and supporting community, our first graders will be helping to lead this project.
Thank you for sharing your love of reading!
Spotlight on Learning
Kindergarteners are reading superheroes!
Partner Reading and Talk
Students sit hip to hip or knee to knee to talk about the books they're reading. They worked in pairs to read and discuss how characters change and the life lessons we can learn from the story.
Science in Action
In Science, 2BP built sandcastles to test water and wind erosion.
March 1 is National Pig Day.
