In the end of June 2015, the Supreme Court ruled that couples of the same sex could marry nationwide.
The Pope Visits the U.S.
Pope Francis visited America for the first time in September of 2015, making stops in Washington DC, New York City, and Philadelphia. Hundreds of thousands of people flooded into each of these cities to see the Pope as he met many of his followers.
Attacks in Paris
Two tragic attacks occurred in Paris during 2015, only one week into the new year, 2015, the Charlie Hebdo building in Paris was attacked by men who shot there way into the building. Later in November three coordinated terrorist attacks occurred at a football stadium, restaurants, and a concert venue. A total of 130 people died during those attacks.
Virginia On-Air Shooting
A gunman inspired by racism killed two of his former colleagues while they were on-air for a Virginia TV station. The shooting left reporter Alison Parke and the cameraman Adam Ward dead. The gunman later died by shooting himself in a car chase.
All Day Breakfast at McDonald's
On October 6th, McDonald's released their "all day breakfast." Their breakfast no longer ending at 10:30 increased sales for breakfast products, and also is bringing in new customers for McDonald's.
