7th grade math students completed their chapter 2 test and these have been returned and posted to powerschool.
I anticipate a chapter 3 quiz next Friday, October 2nd.

ELA - Mrs. Templeton
In Language Arts this week we will continue to read fiction and identify story elements.
We will draft our first rough draft on our realistic fiction writing. I am so excited.
We have a vocabulary test on Thursday.
Social Studies - Mrs. Babb
This week's focus is on The Enlightenment (Standard 7-2.2). Students will describe the influence of Enlightenment ideas-particularly those of John Locke, Montesquieu, and Rousseau-on the growth of democracy.In addition, they will outline the role or purposes of a constitution
(Standard 7-2.3).Classes will define essential vocabulary,create a comparison/contrast chart that determines mastery of the political ideas of the thinkers during the 18th century, and design a foldable for review purposes.

Strings - Ms. Hrivnak
be working more on Dragonhunter and Road Less Traveled, and possibly
adding a new piece into the rotation. We will not have a quiz next
Friday.
