Students will bring cards on 2/11. No late cards will be handed out.
Students wash hands and sort cards in appropriate student piles.
Cards sit untouched from 2/11-2/16.
Students pick up their pile of cards on 2/16 and keep them at their desk/backpack. Students wash their hands.
Students take them home that day.
No food items will be included with the cards.
This is completely optional for families!

Read- A-Thon; Feb. 22- Mar.5
In February, we will show our love for reading with a Read-A-Thon. We are excited to try a new online format while reading, reading and reading. Research shows that the time children spend reading pays off exponentially over time. Our goal is to get books in student's hands and create a love of reading.
Read-a-thons will engage your reader and it gives friends and family the opportunity to encourage your child to read even more. Our Read-a-thon starts Monday February 22nd 2021.
About one week before our Read-a-thon starts we will share instructions on how to activate your reader's personal page. This is where you will be able to view and record their progress.
We've chosen Read-a-thon because it will not take much of your time, gives your child a reason to read and helps in the development of stronger reading skills.
We hope EVERYONE participates.
Thanks so much,

Clothing Ladder
What is the Clothing Ladder?
It is an organization that facilitates the process to give and receive gently-used clothing.
Why be a part of the clothing ladder?
It is good for the environment, helps kids, builds community connections, saves money, time, and resources, and best of all, it makes you and others feel good.
What do I have to do?
Go through your clothing at least twice a year; we suggest once during fall vacation and once during spring vacation. Deliver your bags of clean, gently-used clothing to your receiving partner.
How do I sign up?
Go directly to the signup link and fill out the clothing ladder form online: shorturl.at/uvX79
or for more information email clothingladder@gmail.com.
After I fill out the sign-up form, what do I do?
Wait for us to find your receive-from and give-to partners. We will contact you. Next, via email, determine the time and place to exchange clothing with partners.
What do I do when I no longer want to participate?
Email us and let us know.
Skate Park in the Almanor Basin!
Almanor Recreation and Park District is in the process of planning for a Skate Park on property owned by the district, adjacent to the ARPD office and the ARC center.
We need community feedback especially from our youth.
The information gathered will help us to evaluate community support for this project.
