Intro to Game Design
If you like playing video games, you'll love designing them! Trained instructors will teach students how to program their own video games using an engaging program call Kodu. They will create their own world, populate it with characters, and then play the games they create during class. Students will learn important programming skills while having tons of fun, with no prior experience needed!
Who: Boys and girls entering 3rd-exiting 8th grade

Intro to Digital Art
Dive into the captivating world of creativity and technology at our Intro to Digital Art summer camp! This immersive three-day program combines hands-on learning with engaging digital tools, offering a dynamic journey into digital art. Students will explore the fundamentals of digital drawing and apply what they learn to an exciting real world application. Through a partnership with No Grit No Pearl, students will be able to get their favorite design printed on a canvas or t-shirt which will get shipped to their house after the camp! Intro to Digital Art is the perfect blend of fun, skill development, and boundless imagination, providing young artists with the tools and confidence to bring their visions to life.

Design your own T-shirt
This is a one day camp only!
Have you ever wanted a T-shirt with your very own design on it? Now’s your chance! Students will work to design their own custom T-shirt using digital graphic design tools. A professional screen printing company will turn the design into a real life T shirt and ship it to your house! Experienced instructors will teach students how to run the software and guide them as they turn their visions into a reality!
Who: Boys and girls entering 3rd-exiting 8th grade.

Flag Football
1st-2nd grade athletes will learn the basics of football. Participants will learn to pass, catch, run basic plays and have fun. Each week is a balance of skill building and ball control.
In the 3rd-4th grade league, young athletes will learn the core components of passing, catching, offense and defense in a fun and positive environment. Each week is a balance of skill-building and scrimmage-related activities.

Irish Fall Volleyball
Elementary girls in grades 3-6th (Fall 2024) will have the opportunity to participate in Elementary Irish Volleyball. The focus of the volleyball sessions will be to learn the fundamentals of volleyball and to have fun! Volleyball games will be incorporated as the sessions become more advanced. Irish Volleyball head coach Marty Kiebel will be teaching the sessions. He will be assisted during the sessions by current IRISH VOLLEYBALL players.

Run Like the Wind
Enjoy the fresh autumn air while getting a chance to experience high school cross country! Maple Lake cross country coaches J McClelland, Ben Youngs, Jen Puncochar, and Paul Fouquette along with the entire high school cross country team, will lead students through some warm-ups, stretching, running, and cool downs. Some running strategies and techniques will be taught, but the emphasis will be on having fun and getting active.

Traveling Basketball
In this program, players will practice twice a week and play in the Highway 55 Youth Basketball Traveling League beginning in November. Games are on Saturdays.

Youth Monday Night Hoops
This 5 week program is designated to introduce and expand upon the fundamentals of basketball for boys and girls in grades 3rd-6th. The 3rd and 4th grade participants will focus on the basics as well as fun lead up games to challenge all levels. The 5th and 6th grade participants will be engaged in more advanced skills and games. The skills and games will be performed in-house throughout the practices to prepare them for basketball seasons yet to come.

EXCELSIOR HISTORY
Sightseeing tour of Excelsior and the surrounding area along beautiful Lake Minnetonka. Hop on board the Excelsior Streetcar. Enjoy a trolley trip along a half-mile of track and stop at the car barn to view a photo gallery from the 1800s and see work in progress on a streetcar restoration. In downtown Excelsior enjoy the quaint shops along Water Street.

LA CROSSE, WISCONSIN RIVER CRUISE
Step back in time to when the most popular means of travel from town to town along the Mississippi River was by riverboat. Take in the scenic treasures of the Mississippi River including one of the oldest swing bridges still in operation today, the wild life; see the Lock and Dam system, and other scenic and historic sites along the Upper Mississippi River.

Carlos Creek Winery, one of the largest grape vineyards in Minnesota. Enjoy the beautiful setting. The second-generation family-owned winery produces uniquely delicious fine and signature wines made in Minnesota. The Bredeson family uses a combination of ancient and modern techniques to produce award-winning Minnesota wines. On this tour you will visit the Vineyards and the production area. There is an incline and guests should be prepared to walk a mile or so on the tour.
