THE RISE OF ROBERTS Nov 28 - Dec 2
HOW DO WE MEASURE OUR PATH TO GREATNESS?
Roberts, how do you measure if you are on the right pathway to greatness? The biggest danger for pilots comes in giving into the temptation to fly by their instincts instead of using the instrument panel during a turbulent situation. The instrument panel in a plane measures if the pilot is doing the right things to arrive at the desired destination. The instrument panel measures not only if we are arriving to our destination, but also measures our altitude? What is our engine speed? The instrument panel gives us constant and real time feedback on the things that must have our attention. On the contrary, if you don’t pay attention to your instrument panel(feedback), you might unfortunately be derailed from your dreams and vision.
Flying by the seat of your pants, without leveraging feedback, will lead you to drift in your teaching and in life. Roberts, we have to constantly and relentlessly seek feedback from those who truly care for us to be the best. When you seek feedback, it allows you to adapt and fix a situation. I love the fact that none of us at Roberts are perfect. We are all a work in progress. I love the fact that we never shy away from the invitation of feedback. The culture of coaching and feedback resonates loudly throughout our teaching and mainly our day to day actions.
I hope you had an opportunity to rest and recover during the break. I am excited to see and visit with you this week.
