Grab & Go Breakfast
To ensure all students to have access to breakfast and get to their classroom for morning meeting, community building, core instruction, and/or attendance, we are going to provide a grab & go breakfast for students arriving from car rider line after 8:50 AM. We will mindful of the length of our morning car rider line and the unloading time as we work through this transition. Thank you in advance for your support and effort to ensure our Tiger students have a great start to each and every school day!
Peanut/Nut Allergies
The cafeteria will be providing lunch options that contain peanut butter beginning this week. Please make sure you have communicated any peanut or nut allergies to our school nurse. We will have a peanut/nut free table in the cafeteria for students with nut allergies.
If you child needs to sit at the peanut/nut free table, he or she will be allowed to take a peer from his/her pod to eat with at the nut free table.
Student Book Fees
Book fee bills will be sent home in the next few weeks. If you feel you would qualify for assistance please fill out the application for free and reduced lunches. On the application you will find a section for Textbook Assistance.
If you applied during registration you should be notified soon regarding your application. Please contact swhite@nwshelbyschools if you have questions regarding your application.
COVID-19 Wellness Checks
Please continue to do wellness checks at home prior to sending your student to school. Any student with a fever should remain home until he/she is fever free for 24 hours. Also, if your student has been COVID tested and you are waiting for the results, your student should remain at home until results have been received. Always reach out to the school and/or school nurse if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you for your support and diligence keeping our students healthy and safe!
