The Weekly Hoot
November 4-10, 2019
Greetings All -
Happy Friday! Can you believe that October is over and we have begun November already? That is crazy to me!! The frost on the ground this morning gave me joy! I know! I know! I am one of the few! LOL!
I am headed to Louisiana this afternoon to spend the weekend with the Cajun side of my family. I can't wait to love on them a little bit! We are headed to the Swine Festival in Basille. Every parish in Louisiana (Parishes are like counties.) has a festival each year. It is a huge deal. I would kinda be bummed, I think, if my parish was the Swine Festival, but it's supposed to be lots of fun. I will report back this weekend and let ya'll know how it was!
Just to keep everyone updated on our Owl family...Gail Peterson lost her sister in Colorado last week suddenly. Please keep Gail and her whole family in your prayers. Also, all of our students that were injured or sick are all back at school and seem to be doing great. Thanks for all of the prayers and good thoughts that have been extended their way.
As all of you know, I love winter the absolute best out of all the seasons, but this is one of my favorite times of year as well. I know it has been a crazy couple of weeks with dress up days, Halloween, end of nine weeks, etc... but it's when times get tough like this that we must lean on each other and remember why we got in this business in the first place. I hope you all have managed to have a little bit of fun with your kiddos this month. You know I like to be "thankful", so I hope over the next three weeks you all join me in being thankful as well. Change the little blackboard next to the sign-in sheet to what you are thankful for, give me a shoutout to share on announcements about a co-worker, or just put up a post it on the bulletin board in the teachers lounge. Somehow, let someone at work know how thankful you are for them over the next three weeks so that we can remember the reason for THIS season before we jump into Christmas. :)
Let's have a great weekend and come back ready to get November started!!
Love,
Marcy
