A Message from Principal Choquette 10/20/17
Good afternoon, I hope you all had a good week and are looking forward to a restful weekend. I'm sure you, like all of us at BSS have your positive moments and your challenging moments during your weeks. The important thing is that we stay focused on the positives and work to improve the challenges. Working to improve is challenging in itself and it takes committment and collaboration. It takes an understanding and respect for each other's ideas and expertise. It takes time, it takes hard work, and it takes compromise. When I think of the challenges we face in school I feel so grateful to work with teachers that are so dedicated to your children. I am equally as grateful for our families and community and for their support and dedication to our school. I have so many people who ask me, "Beth, how are you doing all of this? Your job, a doctorate, and being a mom?" It's easy. I don't look at what I do as a "job" it's my mission. Your kids are my mission and supporting them and our teachers is my mission. In the end, we all are here for the same reason, the kids. If we keep that in mind and are willing to listen to each other then we will be able to provide the best for our students.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

A Letter from Kensington Palace
So proud of one of our 5th grade student who wrote to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge recommending names for their new baby. She was excited to receive a response!
Halloween
Halloween can be an exciting time for our children. It is also a holiday that not everyone celebrates. We ask that if your child plans to dress up for school that there are absolutely NO masks, weapons, or blood. We have very young children in our school and many of these costumes can be scary for them. Thank you for your cooperation.
Walking School Bus
Don't forget to sign up for the walking school bus on the Bridge Street PTO website (bsspto.org). If you are interested in being a "driver" you can also sign up on the PTO website. Thank you!
Future Architect???
Thank you to this amazing 1st grade student for the creative and colorful house you built for me. A very bright future for you indeed!
PB & J Collection for the Food Bank of Western Mass

Art Work
Thank you to this 1st grade student for your beautiful art work for my office. I love it!
Lost and Found
We are starting to look like a department store. If your children are missing sweatshirts, shirts, water bottles, shoes, and lunch boxes, chances are they are in the lost and found. Please visit the lost and found outside of the cafeteria to claim your lost items!
